For what it is i really like it over the older revolvers. I think it looks more like a blend of a revolver and a glock. Something to appease those who arent all about the older revolvers. Exactly what im looking for.

What's the attraction with 3" barrels?

Not sure but I love them. The perfect combination for me, just big enough to get a little more sight radius and velocity but not so short that I cannot conceal it in a pocket, IWB holster or snug belt holster (my preferred way). Today, I traded my 2" SP101 plus a little cash on a 3" LCRX and I am happy with the results. I still have my nice heavy 3" SP101, my 4" Model 19 and 6" L-frame for playing with .357's, the LCRX will fit the bill for my EDC. Especially if I get some Buffalo Bore +P for ammo. I have looked up some handloading specs that come really close to the Buffalo Bore to practice with. Plus it will be fun to experiment. I am not afraid to run some +P+ through any Ruger pistol, even an alloy frame one.
