I guess we're going to have to define some terms, then. The crazy homeless dude sleeping in the park drooling over the perfume advertisement isn't a "gray man." He's a guy people ignore.

The middle age guy in the coffee shop on his laptop (using a bluetooth vuln to hash access to your cellphone) that you couldn't pick out of a lineup is a gray man.

Well, he isn't lying per se. His tips are more about manipulating people, which is social engineering. But, his butchering of the English language significantly reduces his credibility. And it doesn't ever link to what a grayman is or how to "do" that.

There are better ways to learn about social engineering, mostly from hackers.
