I just received 1000 xtreme158gr plated swc and was wandering if anyone else has used these for 38 special. I have used xtreme plated bullets for several other pistols and have had good luck with them.

These will be shot out of 357 revolvers but want to stay with a standard plinking load since my brass is 38 special not +p. I don't believe there is a difference in the brass anyway, just labeling, but I want to avoid confusion.

I have unique and bullseye I plan on trying but am interested in experience others have had.

I have used a lot of the plated rainier 158's in my .38 revolver with good results. I load with a powder charge listed as for lead cast bullets. They are nice and clean. I would use your bullseye powder and save the Unique for higher pressure loads.

I have used a lot of Xtreme bullets in 9mm as well as Rainiers. They shoot exactly alike and I use the same powder charge for both. I am taking a weighted guess that the Xtremes will be the same for the .38spl.
