This seems to be the only time I can get to myself lately. So this morning when I couldn't sleep I got up and threaded and AR15 barrel for a fellow INGO member.

I have been practicing and practicing on threading and I think I have it now.

    Exhibit A:

Indexed the barrel off the bore using my home made barrel fixture and grizzly range rod. I then I made a marking cut for the length of the thread pad.

    Next was cutting the barrel down to .500 for a 1/2 x 28 x 1/2 thread.

Double checking to make sure nothing has shifted:

    Then cut threads:

    Just that easy.

I love the smell of fresh threads in the morning :)

I hope that didn't come off wrong. I would not have pulled it off the lathe until I knew the threads were correct.

Here is a 10/22 barrel I did along with making a thread proctor.
