    Anyone have a good load, or a favorite powder for 45 colt.
    Want to work up some stout loads for a 5 in blackhawk 240 or 250 gr jacketed bullets.

    Speer and Hornady both have sections in their manual just for the Ruger and TC... Maybe others do too, but I can't vouch for them...

    For a stout load, I like using a heavy dose of Alliant's 2400 with Hornady's 250gr XTP through a Redhawk...

    If you are in need of brass, I would suggest looking into Starline. So far, it has held up well and very reasonably priced.

    I may be a rebel, but I just fill the case with enough FFg to "crunch" a bit after seating a 240 gn LRN pill on top. :draw: Smoke 'em if'n ya's got 'em!
