I have heard awesome stories from my dad and uncle... they saw a national guard tank on 465 by 31 and 465 on the south side! That would of been awesome too see!
In 1967 that snow storm was unbelievable , but it was cool as hell to see snow that high, something to remember, when people complain about snowfalls today.
I was a couple years older than you. Remember doing chores before and after school was all I got done and the weather complicated it. Wasn't as bad here though as '77, '78, '83...those were historic.
We bundled up, played, dug a snow fort in the front yard, my Dad borrowed our sled, hiked up three blocks to the grocery store. He stopped and brought back milk, bread, jelly, cookies, and Nestles for hot cocoa. House was warm, we survived '67 snow storm. No school, work, nada. SNOWDAY!
