Thinking about a 65G build to be deer legal and soft shooting. I’m wondering what brand everyone’s using for barrels and bolts. I think I have the rest of the build mapped out.

Brownells.com sells criterion barrels under their name. Reasonable, comes with matched bolt face, and easily less than moa.

I like Ballistic Advantage my normal go to.

I used a Bear Creek Arsenal 20" barrel my last build and with Hornady SST or Black it is shooting less than MOA at 100yds. Wolf 100gr it's about 4 MOA at 100yds.
I've use their 7.62x39mm barrels twice now with decent accuracy also.

I have a 18” barrel from them with good results.

Have a spare 16” barrel new if you’re interested. I want either another 18” or 12” from them.

I was planning on 18”. They’re out of stock there right now I might go 16” I notice the cmmg resolute is 16

Well I just saw Palmetto had a decent looking build kit on sale cheap. Or I may build an all Aero rifle with their complete upper. Can do a complete rifle for just over 1k with Aero.

I have a 20" Odin Works, 18" Faxon , and a 12" PSA. They all work as they should. My only advice is having the bolt matched to the barrel. I've been out of the building game for a few years unfortunately.

I spent some time around a Black Hole Weaponry barrel. I believe it was bought through Surplus Arms and Ammo. It came as a complete 18” upper and usually shoots about .6 MOA.

Personally I’ve got one of their 18” 5.56 barrels and it’s about .7 MOA
