I watched it on Kentucky Afield Sun morning.
I didn't know there was that many Asian carp in that lake.
Just wondering what they did with that much dead fish?
Someone told me that carp make good fertilizer is that true?

Your video says it is a private video so here is the lead-in teaser.

I try to put 20 some odd pounds of panfish fillets in the freezer annually. Bluegill and crappie carcasses are all composted. I'm sure the garden would not be the same without this natural fertilizer.

I'm not sure how you would effectively compost that huge amount of whole large fish though. The balance of fish parts to rotting vegetation is fairly touchy on the small scale that I run it. Too much fish = odor, flies, maggots, varmints, neighborhood pets, fish parts drug all over the place, etc.

I have always wondered what bow fishermen do with their catch?

BTW - The video has been removed by user. Anyone got another link?

I am sure you could run it through some sort of grinder and use a manure spreader.... not sure if the .gov would allow you to do that or not though.

Give Oprah a snorkel and a spork and tell her they're sushi.

Give her some concrete boots too.

    I kid, I kid.

Are these the same SOB's that jump right at you? My poor wife will not get on a boat on the Wabash anymore because of an expedition that resulted in her damn near having a panic attack. We were in a john boat with paddles, and a guy with a motor on his bass rig kept stirring them up and making them jump right at us and slam into the side of the boat, scaring the crap out of her every time.

Those horrible fish are a scorge, and I believe one should be allowed to use a shotgun from a boat to massacre as many as possible.

Don't know why but they ended up just deleting the video from Youtube altogether.

I think it turned out so good that PBS may be going to make a longer show out of it. Kinda like the crocodile hunter!
The Kentucky Afield show normally has their programs posted on YouTube this is the only reason I can think of for them to take it down.

I'd like to go explosives fishing for them.
They probably would if it wouldn't harm the good fish too.

    :laugh::laugh: That could work!!
