9 Iron or 1 Wood?

9 Iron or 1 Wood, which do you prefer for a self defense tool? I like the warmth and beauty of the old style wood clubs although some of the more modern clubs have a satisfying "ping" sound when they make contact with the target. The 9 Iron is a bit more compact (concealable) and maybe a little quicker to deploy. What say you INGO?

I'm not a golfer. I prefer the Louisville Slugger approach

Why not a 1-iron? You need a steel shaft instead of graphite too. Don't want it simply snapping off on the first swing.

I'd use the driver simply because of the USGA rule that lets me use the longest club in my bag when I have to deal with an 'unnatural hazard'.

I prefer an old brass putter from Putt-Putt. Steal shaft and a solid ambidextrous head.

I'd go with a 9 iron. Although I do like the 1 woods from the 40'-50's... I always keep one in my golf bag for laughs.
