I was surprised with your group at 100 with iron sight and 55g 556.
Hehe thanks! I consider my groups "ok" but I push myself hard sometimes with groups, epsecially after reading other posts with people bragging about 1-2 inch groups. Always nice to get compliments on marksmanship though :).
Your .308 was limited at 100 yards, and far more accurate a gun than I can even shoot to its full potential. You'll have to keep us updated on your goal of 1000yds; long-distance shooting is a whole different level of marksmanship than iron sight shooting, I'm interested to hear how you do (Awesome, I'm sure!)

As for the thugs, I didn't even notice them. Not a very good sign for my situational awareness :dunno:.

They were from Indiana per the plates on the truck.
They had baggy pants and baseball caps tilted to the side.
The one guy had some type of handgun with 2 banana magazines on it.
When they started walking towards the 25 yard he put the handgun inside his coat pocket it to hit it.
Prior to that he was holding it in the down position with finger on the trigger.
They were looking for an open lane and there was one on the 25 yard but I think they wanted to be alone so they walked the other ranges saw that their was people and left.

They probably smelled the potpourri and came to investigate.

Hi got a question, I am pretty sure bringing my Tavor Kriss 500sw, tommy gun etc would be fine, but how about a m1919a4 (semi auto). would the dnr staff have an issue with that? Thanks. Like to head out there with you all.

I can't answer for the DNR staff, but I can't see why they'd object.
    It's semi-auto.
    It's 30 caliber.

I can see a problem with BIG calibers, or FULL auto. But not that.

    No problem with the m1919a4.
There is NO CALIBER rule at this range only that all weapons must be SEMI-AUTO only.
