Ok I am about a step away from purchasing Spring Armory Garrison, traded in after one trip to the Range. It appears 45 ACP was too much recoil. Which too Much recoil in a Government size all Steel 1911? So I am doing research and the only thing holding me back is the possibility my preferred sights will not fit it? I have Trijicon HD‘s on everything except my p365 which has Sig X ray sights on it and for what it is they work fine.

Harrison Designs website states the front sight is not a standard Novak’s cut, which I am not sure I’d this is correct or not? There appears to be conflicting information out there.

Depending on what the gun comes with there is a possibility of cutting a new slot to fit what you desire.

    “Too Much” recoil…???
I know!!!! But if it affords me the opportunity to pick something up Second hand, and not support SA I am ok with that. Beyond bushing fit, slide fit is there anything else that may cause concern?

Feel the trigger for grit and break point. Not so much for weight but on most springers they will smooth out with use.
I have had a few RO’s that felt like the ey were full of sand new from the box. Run them past 500 rds and a lot of that went away.

I have one and its ran everything I have fed it including reloads. As far as the trigger its a $750 pistol. I have some triggers that are better, Some that are worse. I thing you would be happy with it. As long as your getting a good price.
As far as the front sight, it looks pretty standard to me. Can't say for sure though
