Well yeah, but generally there’s a difference in motives. Most inner city crime is intimately connected to the drug trade, and the majority of those victims aren’t exactly “innocents,” at least from my personal experience. If you were to ask if I’d rather have a dude meet his maker who is an active participant in criminality over innocents going about their daily lives, that’s an easy decision for me.

Reportedly at least 6 people are dead here, possibly one of them being a police officer. That’s where my thoughts go first, to the victims, their families, and the survivors.

    Same here.

Yep. I'm sure a background check would've stopped this just like all the other ones would have.

Police Chief (at the press conference) said the suspect was possibly armed with a "patrol rifle" ... interesting.

Has anyone else heard he was wearing “tactical gear”? If so, I wonder why they brought him out half-naked. Did he hole up somewhere and undress himself?
Im pretty sure i heard he was wounded. Id guess paramedics had to cut his clothing to get to the wound.

If that’s the case, I can hear it now… If he had body armor on, half the people are going to want body armor outlawed because he isn’t dead and the other half are going to be pissed because he’ll get three hots and a cot for the rest of his life at taxpayer expense. Either way, we’re probably going to be talking about banning patrol rifles, tactical gear, and those terrible assault weapons that sure do seem to be misused at convenient times for Democrats.

Maybe, but does it make sense that they would call paramedics into a possibly hostile area so they could treat a minor leg wound before they walk him outside? Wouldn't they get him outside in a controlled area before allowing him to be treated? Besides, it didn't look like his leg had been treated.

Yeah. Who didn't see this coming? I for one expected it.

I'm sure feds will shoot up plenty more before the bill is voted on.

Funny how major high-publicity shootings basically went away in Trump's last 2 years, and now they're back again.
It's almost like when they had 0 chance of passing gun control, they stopped shooting people.
