Age of my shotgun?

My curiosity now spurred by a different thread i started...

steel shot in any type of shotgun? - INGunOwners

is making me wonder how old these shotguns i have are.
I have one that is a 20 gauge pump and another that is a .410 break action.
Both say:

STEVENS
Savage Arms Corporation
Chicopee Falls, Mass. U.S.A

the pump is a model 620, the break action says model 94C on the opposite side.

Neither have an apparent serial number.

How do i identify the age of these? or cant i?

Go to www.savageshooters.com after you register go to the "other savage/stevens" section at the top and ask there, they should be able to help. There's a guy named maddog in that section that can tell you. He dated my Savage Fox model B for me.
Look on the bottom of the recieve by the forearm, there should/might be 2 letters in a small circle he'll need that for the date.

I have been down this road with a stevens/ savage break action 410 my dad bought at a yard sale, year of manufacture is almost impossible to determine, I can tell you it's pre 1968 since thats when serial numbers became mandatory.

I also have an old shotgun with no serial #, it a western field 20 gage, model M550C,
near as I can tell, its a mossberg 500, made for montgomery ward, but also don't know the year. Anyone know about these?
