They talk about family views as building a society. There was society before 'Merica. They speak of Christian framework yet many of our founding fathers were not Christian and in turn wrote the separation of church and state so that people could believe what they wish and that there was no forced belief. You really think that the government has forced people to support gay peoples rights? How about having gay family and loving them and wanting them to be happy? Isnt happiness a right? Oops, I guess they can't find one, so they have to take our republic and turn into some godless government controlled state to satisfy their demonic ego. They don't seem to believe in history, but are more then willing to misquote it. I can appreciate some socialistic aspect such as caring for the sick and poor and giving to those in need. Isnt that what every person should expect. Being a godless government is in our constitution. The US was born of a secular belief without such we would be an Iran. I believe capitalism can work but it has to have regulation so that everyone plays fair. When they dont play fair we get great depressions and recessions. When people can spend money to persuade legislation in their favor how does that seem to pan out for the regular Americans needs and wants? Get the greedy money out of politics and keep Wall St and the banks regulated to play fair and uphold values that will not cripple us again 60 years down the road and I think it may actually pan out. Why isnt a minimum wage reflective of what it takes to pay the bills? Why shouldnt everyone have access to healthcare without prejudice? We have a class of working poor. Here in America? Pathetic. I dont have all the answers but I can see when whats going on needs updated. I understand the need for capitalism but I can also see where it leaves some things to be desired.

We'd never be able to convince a politician that survival of the fittest would be for the betterment of society. We'd have to let people weed themselves out and possibly make a public list of proven and known morons. Maybe work on the deficit by selling moron hunting licenses.

Very philosophical. What about the people who are born with diseases or disability? What about the poor people fixing you Big Mac? Survival of the fittest. Sounds like democracy to me. Modern Darwinism has nothing to do with Darwinism in reality. Just a Republican misunderstanding and a funny one at that considering it directly conflicts with many people beliefs. You want to know a true social Darwinian attribute? Afterlife. By social Darwinism in your beliefs the millionaires are the product of natural selection. That has nothing to do with Darwin and its funny that anyone would combine such irrational ideals. Humans evolved into working together and forming communities. Helping those in need. The true morality came to be in such this way. Caring for others of our own species is usually (not sure about some here) a collective mindset. Your form of Darwinism (need a better term for that I think Darwin would not concur) is no more then a dog eat dog world. You merely wish to regress. I am not saying some people have done as you said but there are plenty who havent. Obviously someone has to flip your burger for minimum wage. Maybe they didnt make the best choices in life but he is working pays taxes wants a family. If no one did those jobs who would? So if your not born with the means to succeed or born into a bad household which may set you back you should not be taken care of when your sick? Oh I understand the biblical stuff, and that is what your community and your church is for. The government should not be a part of feeding, clothing, sheltering, or healing anyone. And no, no one has to flip my burgers, I don't eat fast food, and I am perfectly capable of making hamburgers myself. And just because the dude who can't afford a family wants one, doesn't mean he should have one. It is selfish to bring a child into the world when you can't afford to take care of the child yourself.
