    I probably wouldn’t get chips implanted in my head. Novel as it is, they probably have no idea what other side effects there might be. If it’s a net benefit, it’s fine for those who want to use it. But I think we have yet to know what we don’t know about what ethics should be developed before it’s widely available.

    Just watched it. That was awful. The good guy accidentally creates the thing he’s trying to stop and destroys humanity. I hate that trope. :crying:

    At the end of the day AI will become the de facto leadership, you won't have a choice about how it's used as it will be using you.

    Elections will be illusions run like fixed sporting events.

    A few generations pass and no one will remember it being any different.

    I think an important question is, does AI have a self-evident reason for itself to exist. If not, it would probably end humanity once it saw no further purpose for us, and then?
