ACEs are great, but I get it if you're not sitting on a ton of 5.45. It'll never be what it was, but I'm holding out hope we get something, either domestic or from another country. If it floats around the same as 5.56 or 7.62x39 prices I wouldn't complain, I like shooting it a lot. But ammo prices are crap across the board for the most part so whatever.
Luckily for me I have all three calibers. It seems to be a really solid rifle lol I honestly missed out on the cheap ammo thing. I’ve always been into guns but just had a late start in life with doing the stuff I actually enjoy.

Did you change out the follower on the Bakelite mag to get it to cycle?

Details? First look I'm thinking Zastava with the bulged trunnion but no markings.
A solid B. Better than average trigger. Safety is positive but not overly tight. Strips well. I opened the Rubbermaid tub of AK mags that I have. All mags fit well, even those gray Korean things that I have (yes, they were on sale).

I know it is not a Rifle Dynamics piece but does not pretend to be. Solid, ready out of the box, "2 clicks up from rack grade", as my dad would say, AK that I can put optic and light on and be done with it. I like "semi-custom" guns so I don't engage in piddling busy work for this and that, just go shoot it. Clint Smith's Seal of Approval on this makes me quick to buy as well.

Kaw, I understand that I am rolling the dice here given Century's reputation. After all Century Arms marketing slogan is still: "Century Arms: Because drunken, untrained gibbons with poor depth perception and mental health issues need jobs too."

However, I did the same on the Riley Defense AK-74 last Christmas and have been overjoyed with its reliability so maybe I am riding a high wave of luck. Gun companies can learn and improve . . . Ok . . . maybe not Colt . . . Colt cannot but others can.

I believe that it is vital for the American gun industry to get good with AKs. Being an earlier adaptor helps this market.
