Aluminum Touch Up

I recently got the Wheeler scope mounting kit, and my first victim, er, project is the cheapo aluminum rings that came with a crossbow package. What would you use to touch up the finish after lapping the rings?

Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black, comes in a "pen" like a Sharpie or in a bottle with a dabber.
