Wait, American has had a reservation SYSTEM?! Holy Smokes! I always thought they just sent everyone to Chicago or Miami and then some sort of weird random assignment of destinations combined with an abnormal and unnecessarily large number of out past security to go back through security to go through the gate that takes you out past security, outside, down the sidewalk, on a raft, back into a ticket agent's stand, back through security and then to the requisite Spanish-speaking cattle herder who sole purpose in life is to make sure no on enjoys any aspect of travel and that their bag never arrives in the same zip code with the passenger.
