I got most of them right.
Many of them are world history (like Vietnam war, WW2, space program etc) questions, not just about the US.

I got "Who gave the Statue of Liberty to the US?" and "the one about the landing in Normandy" both right!:rockwoot:

Also that's a long quiz, I answered 71 questions ... not sure there's an end to it. :faint:

Finally finished, only 75% but I guess it's not bad for someone who's not American and who can barely speak the language. :):

I learned a bit about US history in school but we didn't learn about the Civil War and many social issues that came up in that quiz.

I missed a couple because I had facts wrong and I missed a few because I'm too young to remember.

Well history is knowing things that happened before you were born.
Otherwise we wouldn't know much, unless you are CM and you lived most of those historical events since the begining of times!
I wasn't born when the moon landing took place but I still know when it happened.

The things I was too young to remember were things like "Which neighborhood did the LA Riots start in?" and "Who shot Robert Kennedy"

they made towers out of the wreckage of those riots. I learned that in History Class, I am too young to really remember it being born in 1962

I can't remember the one I got wrong and it is a long quiz, 100 questions. :ugh:

I was sort of surprised I remembered as much as I did. Guess I got a quality education unlike the current gen that isn't home schooled.
It is sad really, it is so much easier to control a people who don't know their history nor their rights.

Some of the questions can be answered by just looking at the pictures and using logic.

Having the same questions without the pictures, and without muliple answers available would have been way harder.

I was surprised to know quotes from Patrick Henry even though I'm not sure who is he really is.

Stopped at 50 with one miss. A couple of correct educated guesses. Don't think my adult son would do very well on this.

Trick question with two equally correct answers:
    Japanese descent = Bad drivers

A couple of Nixon questions. Look forward to the inclusion of similar Clinton questions in the future.

Studying the U.S. civil war outside of the U.S. might be interesting. I doubt the rest of the world put much effort into revising it much over the years.

From Virginia, an early opponent of the Crown and the Stamp Act, other than James Otis, Henry was the best known orator of the War of Independence, and later one of the prominent Anti-Federalists during the adoption of the Constitution.

The Lost Cause movement did not expand beyond the USA despite the attempts of the revisionists.

Here's a book on it: The Myth of the Lost Cause and Civil War History

I know your take on it, straight from the victors. ;)

I just wonder if it matches the various foreign historical perspectives, beyond the direct influence of our national [STRIKE]education[/STRIKE] indoctrination system.
