He drove down my cul-de-sac and made the circle and drove right up to my house. I was outside cleaning out the garage and getting some of my targets squared away for tomorrow. I gave him the friendly wave as he drove up, but he didn't return the wave. This is the point I figured something was wrong.

I knew he was a PO, but when he got out of the car, he introduced himself and said he was a detective with the bomb squad. I started thinking if I had any tanerite incidences recently. He asked about my targets and then asked for my wife. I told him that she was out of town, but was on her way home and should be here in a few minutes. We talked a little more and then my wife drove up. He introduced himself and they went inside to talk.

Man, I thought he was here for me for some reason. I almost started sweating, but all is okay with me, but that was close.

Too many LEO's just out there 'trolling' for something that looks good on paper, helps nobody, and can destroy an individual or family due to 'allegations' or even fines and/or jail-time for victimless-'crimes'. We can thank the Democrats for their "war on guns" and the Republicans for their "war on terror" for this.

Used to be "officer FRIENDLY" was actually a good name to represent the LEO's who were out there sometimes risking their lives to keep citizens safe from REAL criminals. Now, too many LEO's view all citizens as "perps" and are so eager to bust them for something/anything that they forget we're supposed to be a Constitutional Republic.

Until the Republicans are willing to nullify the Patriot Act and the Holy War on Drugs, and the Democrats are willing to quit treating Christians as if they were the ones blowing up buildings and airplanes, we will see our freedoms wither away.

The officer sounded like he was taking care of business, but also didn't want to jam a kid up for just making a stupid remark. He told me he wanted to check and see if my wife felt threatened.

Que, it sounds like you have it made. A diligent officer, cool targets, and an awesome wife. Good combination!
