Ok so here it is, I have a 93 Ranger and my speedometer and odometer stopped working but everything else on the console works just fine.... Before i go ripping the dash apart to find out what the issue is, I want to make sure it isn't something stupid like a fuse or something.... No i have not checked the fuses yet but will before i recheck this thread.... Any help would be nice, Thanks!!!

    MY TIME HAS COME!!!!!

Sorry but Rangers are my specialty :rockwoot:. If it just up and quit working its more than likely the speedometer cable. If the Speedo is bouncing around at times its more than likely the Speed sensor's plastic gear is chewed up. The Rangers didnt get an electronic VSS till 95 so your truck is still manual. The broken end of the cable will likely be toward transmission end. It will be located drivers side of the transmission. Easy cheap fix either way. You wont have to rip the dash apart to install it. Take the trim piece off (like if you wanted to install a new radio) and just take the gauge cluster out. Pop the old cable out insert the new. Autozones prices are $8 for the cable and $19 for the sensor. Just did a quick look. Remember the bolts are metric in these trucks. You will need 8 and 10mm. It may be different if your truck is equipped with a slush box. Out of the 13+ Ranger based vehicles Ive owned only one has a slush box and thats my new one (not a fan at all). You can bet that when that tranny goes its getting a 5 speed. When its paid for I may blow it on purpose I hate the dang thing.
