I have hunted outside of Kentland and hunted Willow Slough also. Both are near SR41. I Think some of the guys I have hunted with know some of the farmers around the Kentland area, but not sure.
Check with the DNR. There are many wildlife habitat areas up in Benton, White, Newton and Jasper counties. Even better is to find someone who owns land with a lot of fence rows or CRP ground.
I have sent in for years trying to get drawn for the DNR property's in Benton, Newton and White counties (they are full of pheasants) every year I get back the same reply "try again next year". I bet all their buddies get drawn though. I do have a small ditch area to hunt in Newton county but it only takes an hour, I would be willing to pay a small fee to hunt those wild birds if someone has some land in Benton or Newton county with wild pheasant on it, I have a young Setter that is coming along real nice also.
