    Check with the DNR. There are many wildlife habitat areas up in Benton, White, Newton and Jasper counties. Even better is to find someone who owns land with a lot of fence rows or CRP ground.

    I have sent in for years trying to get drawn for the DNR property's in Benton, Newton and White counties (they are full of pheasants) every year I get back the same reply "try again next year". I bet all their buddies get drawn though. I do have a small ditch area to hunt in Newton county but it only takes an hour, I would be willing to pay a small fee to hunt those wild birds if someone has some land in Benton or Newton county with wild pheasant on it, I have a young Setter that is coming along real nice also.:dunno:
