I have a Savage 110 FCP HS in 338 Lapua. It is completely stock except the scope(SWFA SS 16x42 fixed power) and the bipod(Harris fixed 6-9"). It is as accurate as I can be. On average I can hit 5-8" groups at 1000yards. My best group I've shot with it was about 3" at 1k. It has the Accu-trigger on it set at about 1.5 lbs. I'm sure there are other triggers out there that could do better, but I'm happy with my results as is.Your Savage 308 should be able to hit 5" groups at 1000 if you do your part. My guess the average group would be around 10" at 1000. Congrats on your rifle. You'll love it.

Thanks! I sighted it in myself (first time) and I got it to to do about 1/4 inch but that was at 50 yards. I think I am going to wait till I get a good piece of glass on it before I try anything past 100

I'm sure glad I decided to get the savage. All these guns look great. I have been just using some silver bear .308 and been getting really good results, I can't wait to see what I can do with some premium ammo

    Savages

We have a variety of M10 & M12 Savages in .17 Fireball, .204, and .223. All of them regularly whack prairie dogs at 300+ yards.

Indygunworks rebarreled both of my .17 Fireballs (one from .204 the other from .308) and they both are a blast.........pun (and plug) absolutely intended.
