Three Orleans teens were arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection with three home breakins in Orange County. According to Indiana State Police at the Jasper Post, police and crime scene investigators responded to a reported burglary Monday at a home located at 4767 N CR 200 West in paoli. The house was ransacked and jewelry, a firearm, knives and a video game system were stolen. On Tuesday, State Police Master Trooper Detective Dave Henderson returned to his home in Orleans and found his house had also been burglarized. Items taken from his home were, jewelry, guns and law enforcement equipment. Police also found evidence that linked the three teens to a home burglary that occurred earlier near Orangeville. Stolen items including a approximately 20 firearms were recovered from the two Orleans properties. Police believe some of the guns stolen were sold at a gun show in Salem. 18 year old Justin Van Brunt of Orleans, 18 year old Johnny Gulasa of Orleans and a 17 year old male also of Orleans were all charged with 3 counts each of Class "C" Felony burglary, also felony residential entry and theft, a Class "D" Felony, receiving stolen propertya Class "A" Misdemeanor and possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana. State Police were assisted by the OC Sheriffs Department, French Lick, West Baden and Orleans Police Departments, and French Lick Casino Security. Orange County Sheriff Richard Dixon said this is a perfect example of how law enforcement can work with the public to solve these types of crimes. The Orange County Sheriffs Department is investigating other break ins and are working to identify and arrest those suspects as well. Anyone who sees suspicious activity is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriffs Department at 723-2417 or call 911.

+1 for the good guys. Hope they recover all the stolen property and return it to it's rightful owners. Hope the perps learn their lesson and turn their lives around, or they meet their demise when they try to pull this off again when/if they get out.
