Anyone ever heard of Frontier Ammo??

I was going through some stuff today and found a box from my Wife's late Dad. In this box I found an Khaki Ammo pouch with 2 old 1911 mags. He was a Korean War vet and probably brought this home from the Army.

The mags were filled with an ammo I haven't seen before. .45 stamped "Frontier 45 Auto".

Anyone remember Frontier Ammo??? I tried Googling it, but I am on a work computer and it is blocking the search.
