Anyone in Plymouth?

Hey guys I'm moving to the Plymouth area from Michigan. Anyone live in that area? I was hoping to get some local knowledge about gun stores and the nearest shooting ranges. I'm assuming none too close because I gotta believe many just shoot in their back yard (I don't see that as being an option for me). Also anyone OC in that area? Not sure if I will for sure or not since the only reason I'm moving there is for work but still be curious if any of you OC around there*.

* I do have a valid carry permit and I am only moving down there for 6 months so I do not need to obtain a LTCH because I won't actually be a "resident".

Yep. There are several DNR ranges a short drive away, Winamac is fairly close. I don't think Jasper/Pulaski is all that far. There is an indoor range in South Bend and one in Elkhart. There are 3 gun shops in Warsaw (about 35 minutes east), 1 about 5-10 minutes west of Plymouth, a couple in the Mishawaka/Granger area, 1 in Elkhart, at least 1 in Goshen. Yep, people OC here. I've seen someone open carry in my bank (and seen a member of INGO talk about open carrying in his credit union...may have been him).

If you're from anything but a small hicktown, you're in for a treat.

The majority of people in Plymouth do not shoot in their backyards and I'd say that most have never shot in their backyards. The majority are within city limits or are in subdivisions. Once you get out in the country, yeah...I've shot in a handful of backyards during the time I've lived here.

I'm from Portage, MI (Kalamazoo area) which is def not a small hicktown. I do go to Ferris State which does have a lot of people from small hicktowns lol.

I live in Bourbon which is about 15 minutes from Plymouth. I OC all over Plymouth, the Walmart there is pretty accepting of it. Good town.

Sepe pretty much covered it. If you like to fish there are plenty of lakes around the area.

Kingsbury (DNR) range is close. I have a backyard range so haven't been there to shoot in years. I OC all the time in Plymouth. No one has ever said a thing to me.

Don't forget Guntown on US 30, about 15-20 min west of Plymouth. Good selection and they will deal with you.

I'm a transplant to Plymouth. Out in the corporate sticks. A day doesn't go by I don't hear gunshots around. Haven't had a problem with OC...yet

I work in Plymouth. No issues with OC. As far as shooting, I know several people from work that do shoot in their backyard, but that isn't feasible in town. I personally do my shooting and shopping at home in South Bend.

I would agree with this. But I won't claim that smell by the fertilizer plant. I have been cleared of those charges.

I used to live in Plymouth, but recently moved just north of there to Lapaz. I OC all the time in Plymouth, and have never had a problem. All of the cops that I know there are aware that OC is legal, and I have yet to go to a local business that wasn't friendly towards it.

Last time I heard he was spending some time in County. I grew up in Plymouth and now live in Argos. I use to shoot in my backyard when I lived there until the built a subdivison behind my house.
