Somebody probably got a severe case of the conscience because you know, just absolutely KNOW, that if these things were legal they would know who the owner was already.

I don't know the full story but it may be that they are bring backs from WWII or Korea that were found when the veteran died. The family may have known they were illegal but didn't know what to do so they just got rid of them.

It's too bad they never got on the registry.

I'd bet you are right on target. I hope that there is some provision for these to end up in a museum.

How is it that road crews always find cool stuff? In indiana, not toooo long ago, a road crew found a spare tire with like 120k in it. If my coworkers and I found 20 bucks we would go out to lunch. People are not smart. When it comes to guns... many times older=$$$$$. I would have split the guns up. As a side note, I am not a diver but can hold my breath for a while. If anyone knows there are guns in a lake in central indiana let me know. I would be happy to go looking. PM me.

Oh Crap!! There they are! I was wondering where they went! How the hell did they end up in Alabama? I swore I locked the safe they were in, I just took one out to look at and then went to the store, came home and they were all gone!:laugh:
