    I found a 1958 copy of American Rifleman at a used book store with an article about the then new M14,in the article it tells about and shows pictures of a shorter and lighter version called the M15.

    Just wondering if anyone has one or has seen one and if they are sought after collectors items.

    it sure would be cool to at least see a reproduction done on a m1a they make the fake select fire option and the heavy barrel could be easily added

    I don't think this rifle was ever actually used after testing or in civilian hands. There was a later variant of the standard M14 that took the place of this rifle noted as the M14E2.

    thanks for the link i will check it out.

    With the first m16 prototypes showing up at almost the same time I would think the m15 would have been doomed from the start.
