As others have said, they have had a way in all along. They just didnt want to tip their hand and make it public knowledge.

This certainly feeds the theory that the FBI was using this emotive case to get a binding legal precedent

Thing is, I believe before the obama admin got in, they already had info on these shooters and were made to delete it. If I can find a source I'll edit this post and put it in here. But I agree I like a big company telling the big government to go pound sand.

They had evidence of potential Saudi terrorists and were made to delete it by Obama?

I could see incompetently failing to stop the attack, losing our heads, getting bogged down in foreign adventures, then using it to justify vast over reach of a national security state.
    But just deleting the evidence?

Apple is just weeks ahead of the hackers trying to keep our personal information safe. Please watch John Oliver's clip on youtube regarding how complicated of an issue this is. Also, LIndsey Graham has changed his opinion as well.

    Goes like this.

Apple people and FBI people get into shouting match over phone.

    Angry feds go to court.

Apple calls big dc law firm.

DC law firm talks to administration and feds.

    Incident over before it starts.

    Law firm gets big fee.

    Always follow the money
