Are one of those my old lower?

No.. I was going to use it to build a .22 AR, but Whittakers got some M&P15-22's in so I got one of them. The lower is still setting in my safe. I did get it out the other day to do some lettering coloring practicing.. I'm going to do the M&P15-22 so I'd thought I'd practice on the lower first.

These will also fit the Primary Arms micro, but will need a small amount of trimming since the illumination knob on the PA sits slightly forward than that of the Aimpoint.

See Mvician's posts above. That's what the IO cover offers. Protection for the T1 with caps that are tethered to the cover and attach to one another to keep them out of the way when the optic is being used.
