Was shooting with my buddy and he has a DPMS Oracle AR-15. During the shooting his trigger started to perform differently but still functioned. When pulled it would at about the half way point "click" as if setting a double trigger and then would fire. Anyone else have problems like this? Fixes other than a new trigger???

    Assuming a std trigger group...

Check the pins, one could be broken. Could also be debris (eg brass shaving between the hammer/sear). Less likely is something wrong with the safety (eg no safety detent and its' partly walking out causing the trigger to rub on it).

try some basic troubleshooting. separate the upper/lower. (don't let the hammer slam down). W/ the hammer forward, does the trigger move free? Does the hammer move free? See any debris on the sear... and so on...

Pull it, inspect it, clean it, run through the std function checks.

Pull the pins and remove the upper from the lower. Make sure both trigger and hammer pins are properly in the in their correct location. do a couple of simulations... see what it looks like then.

Triggers are so inexpensive, I'd just replace the fcg if you can't find a culprit. No need for an unsafe firearm.
Just about any other mfg fcg would be an upgrade from DPMS anyways ;-)
