Hello does anyone know where to get cheap AR-15 stripped lowers? I found a complete one on Classic Firearms for $100, but after tax, shipping, and FFL transfer fee it was practically $200.

What’s the cheapest total cost of a stripped lower that y’all have found? (I am perfectly fine getting a stripped and building it with the LPK myself)

Anderson lowers can often be found for under $50 if you look around. Of course, that comes with the potential for QC issues that sometimes comes with Anderson.

Put together 4 AR's with Anderson stripped lowers purchased from Rural King. Sometimes RK runs them on sale, if I remember correctly they were $49. All worked as they should without any issues. For cheap stripped lowers, Anderson's are the first ones I look for.

That’s not bad and if I remember correctly RK Guns charges a flat $12.99 shipping, but I’d that per lower or per order?

I bought a pair through Cabela's a few years back. I think it was a black friday deal, but no charge to ship to store or do transfer. But the paperwork did take an extremely long time. There were a lot of people doing 4473s that day.

Granted this was at least 4-5 years ago, so that price may no be realistic in this market.

Yeah I have noticed that prices have gone way up and availability has gone way down. Have you noticed a lot of people selling them on here in the classified ads?

The only issue is that the FFLs around me charge $45-$50 for the transfer

Ask if they charge that per item. Reason I say that is if you order 3 they can put all on 1 4473.
If they charge $50 total (as it's all on 1 form) you could have 3 lowers for roughly $75 each after tax, shipping and transfer.

Why not call your local shops & pawn shops and ask what lowers they have and the cost? My local store sells Andersons, and the Pawn shop is an official Stag dealer. Could probably figure something out that skips the FFL fee part.

That’s a good idea. Is there the limit for the form 4473?
