AR-9 jamming rounds

I had a palmetto barrel that would jamb constantly. turned out there was not enough bevel around the chamber. I cut a chamfer on it and it runs 100%. Can you post a pick of the chamber end of the barrel?

Colt or glock pattern lower? If glock was it straight mag or angled?

Sorry to thread jack, is yours a Glock mag fed rifle? Mine will be.

Mine used Colt mags. I'm in the process of switching lowers to a Glock mag model. Haven't shot it with the Glock mags yet, though.

I ordered a new QC10 5.5 barrel if this is installed and it runs right ill let you guys know. I like Ballistic Advantage but if it does not work its not for me.

so got the 5.5 9mm QC10(from them) barrel in yesterday. Installed it and it already will put hollows into battery when charging, it would not with the ballistic advantage barrel. I'm going to the range later to test.

critical defense 135 grain HP
remington 124 grain HP
hydro-shock 124 grain HP

will test with glock factory 33rd and 15rd mags and ETS 31rds mags.

will update when I get back how it worked.

I still do. It's not as aggressive of a tamper/feed type ramp but yet to see if QC10 one works.

I would gladly do that but I have to be in fishers by 2:00 today. I can meet most any other time though

400 rounds and not one hicup!!! All the Ammo I shoot and mags listed above. It's the ballistic advantage barrel(( man that was fun as fun gets!!!! Just need my suppressor for it out of jail and ready to go!!!

Well this sucks... I was just about to buy the same exact barrel when I came across this thread. Any one else tried these barrels? This is the only negative thread I've seen on them through all of my googling.

ill sell you my 5.5 Ballistic advantage one if you want. If your doing a colt mag lower it may work but will not for glock. I switched barrels and have put 1k threw the QC 10 one and zero issues.

BA makes great stuff my .300 black out 8.3 is steller and not a issue after 1k on a sbr. With 9mm it just doesn't work.

I used a 5.5 Ballistic Advantage barrel on my AR9 and have had no issues with it at all. But I used a New Frontier Armory Glock mag lower.

I'm 200-250 rounds in to my 4.5" Faxon barrel both suppressed and un-suppressed with 115 and 124gn ammo with zero hiccups. They offer 1/2x28 threading as well. Only offering as another option. I'm using a New frontier glock mag lower.

For those curious, I emailed Ballistic Advantage and asked them about this. They basically said their older barrels had the issue, but the newer ones do not.

Not sure what kind of car it is,but if you reach to your left up over your shoulder grab the seat belt then pull it down and across your lap and lock it in the buckle it will clear that red light up no problem.

Sorry I missed this thread......a lot of what QC10 is BS on the barrels...I have seen a LOT of issues with them on Colt pattern lowers as well. In the last two years I have reprofiled several hundred 9mm barrel feed cones on barrels from a multitude of manufacturers. If anyone on here has issues or questions on pistol caliber...it is all I have done for the last ten years. I personally own 45's in blowback and DI, 460 Rowland DI, 10mm DI, 40 S&W blowback, 7.62 x 25 DI, 9mm on Colt and Glock lowers, to include QC10, Lonewolf Angstadt, and New Frontier to name a few. I made all of them from stock metal and barrel blanks. Developing a new mag for 10mm and 45 Win Mag ......and have several hundred 9mm barrels on the shelf that I will guarantee to feed.
