AR builders database?

I started building a few ARs. I am looking for a database to keep track of components used, parts prices, brands, where i buy parts, serial numbers, accessories, etc.
I want to do searches on such things as which rifles use a particular part, total costs,....
Anybody doing this?

Excel? I'd just whip up a quick spreadsheet.

I'm wanting to do cross referencing too. Compare LPKs used by price and supplier, for example.

Best program would be MS Access. More powerful than Excel and it's a true database program.

It could be done if you have experience with building databases. It would take a little bit of database design knowledge to get it to function the way you want it to.
