It's really personal preference. All AR mags are designed to do the same thing. I prefer pmags others prefer G.I. Mags. It's really up to you and what you want. I recommend a quick google search on whatever brand you decide on to make sure it is a quality mag that has worked for others in the past.

All that matters it that they work in YOUR guns. We are blessed with a myriad of choices.

I have D&H, I have CProducts, I have PMags, I have Brownells, but they all work in my guns.

    1. Find mags that work.
    2. Buy Tupperware container.
    3. Fill Tupperware container with mags that work, the ones with the sliding lock work well.
    4. Separate out 6 or so training mags.

Don't fall in love with your mags. Have lots to burn through.

I have 1 pmag 30rd mag,, and 3 govt issue 20rd mags...no issues so far (govt issue came with gun) AR mags are cheap enough (til something stupid happens) to buy a few and test them. Good luck !

    I have CProducts...

A few years ago I built an AR15 in 7.62x39.
The only mags I could find that would reliably feed were the CProducts mags.

    I agree with Kirk.
Try a few different makers and see what works in your gun(s).

    Great!
I thought we were all clear at those meeting last year that you can agree with Kirk, but you can't let him know that you agree with him.
Now his head will explode and his rates will go up.

    Smooth move, Derf! :xmad:

I have Pmags and aluminum 30 rounders from D&H I believe, both work flawlessly in my Sig M400. Whatever you do, don't mistake Promags for Pmags. Trust me on this.

I have PMAGs and Troy BattleMags. Got the different types to segregate 5.56 and 300 BLK loads, they are both good quality.

I just watched a video where Larry Vickers recommended the Tango Down mag, so there's that.

Larry Vickers=Tango Down, I like Larry but he puts his products at the front.

Thats what I figured too but if he's promoting it and putting his name on the line, I'll take a serious look at it.

The video that I was watching (about answering emails) did come off as one big commercial for Vickers gear.

I have only ever used steel mags. Best quality for the money was a 12 pack of 30 rd no tilt Israeli made military mags for $103.00 shipped. They have run flawlessly.
