AR15 pistol gas tube question

My question is, which one? Or more correctly, which length?

I have a 10.5" barrel and it appears the gas port is approximately 8-3/16" from the gas port in the barrel to the end of the barrel extension.

Is this the "carbine" length, or the "pistol" length?
