I'm new to intricacies of the whole AR15 piston debate. I've heard some around the edges, factory designed pistons systems are better than conversions--OK. DI systems put a bunch of gas and carbon back into the chamber, which is a drag and burns up lube, etc etc.

I thought I read some where that there are issues with short-stroke piston systems that lend to suggest that long-stroke systems are better? I'm not sure of this, nor am I fully sure that I understand the issue of carrier tilt completely.

Awhile ago I saw that Centerfire sells a long-stroke piston conversion kit for like $170. Who makes it and does anybody have any feedback on this kit?
