Are Mec-Gar Magazines good?

They seem to be the only hi cap magazines i can find for my S&W Model 59. Does anyone have any opinions about them? Thank you.

Mec-Gar makes good mags.

Yes, they are excellent. Sig, Springfield Armory just to name a few, have Mec-gar make mags for them.

They are very good in most pistols. They happen to be O.E.M. For SIG and CZ and several others. They are probably good to go in your 59. About the only pistol I haven't heard good things about Mec-Gar's mag is the 1911. And I don't know if its bad, they don't make one, or if everybody just uses Wilson or Chip McCormick, or Metalform.

I've had nothing but good luck with MecGar. buy with confidence!
I've ran them for SIG, CZ75, CZ97 and I think EAA witness .45.

Only used them in my colt officers 1911 and they sucked deff
feed problems I don't have any experience on any other guns

If Meggar doesn't list the mag for your gun it is because they already make it for the gun manufacturer. They make S&W's. Some they can't sell because of manufacturers deals.

They work great in every Hi-Power I've used them in (FN, Ingilis, FM, Browning, and FEG).

Thats because the factory Sig mags are made by Mec-gar.

Yes OP they are top quality mags.

I use them in my Sig and the daughter uses them in her CZ Shadow...no issues.

Odd, I've had no problems with them in my Kimber 1911, maybe I was just lucky. YMMV

Very good. It's all I use in my Sigs. They make a great, uber-reliable 15-round mag for the 228.

No dissent here: I've had over a hundred Mec-Gar magazines over the years, and I've never had one with a problem. I look for Mec-Gar when I need magazines. Top notch.

I love mine. My only regret is not buying more for my P226 and 92FS a few months ago when they were affordable.

I love having an 18+1 shot P226.
