In this thread, I worked up a hillbilly night sight.
But I wasn't quite done.

I wanted something other than skate tape on the front strap, but I didn't feel like shelling out a couple hundred bucks for a decent job (that would be half of what the gun cost. OK, not quite, but you get the idea.)

Sooo...

I bought one of the little ten dollar temporary front straps and installed it under the grips.

Voila!

Pimpin' ain't easy. (OK, yes it is.)

I wasn't 100% on those grips until you added that temporary front strap checkering piece, that pulls it together really well. Looks nice!

I have seen those (Midway? I think) I wondered how they looked, quality wise.

Don't know if Midway has them...I suppose they might, but this one came from Brownells.

I tried one of those years ago and it just never felt "right" to me. It's been in my parts box ever since. I might have to revisit it after seeing yours though. The one I have is silver. Did you put anything under it to help hold it in place? Your pistola looks good.

When I took off the skate tape, there was tacky adhesive that I didn't strip off. I put the "checkering" right over it and I think that helped.
