Sometimes I notice that I haven't seen posts by someone in a while and I go look at their profile and see that it is marked "Shooter". Other times I notice the same thing but when I look their profile is gone and their name doesn't show up in a search. I thought that the rule was to mark banned members as "Shooter" because some of their posts might have had relevance. Is this something different when the whole profile dissappears? What is the rule?

I believe that when temporary bans are issued, the member's information is still serchable in the "search members" feature. When a member is permanently banned, their information is no longer searchable when using that feature, though you can click on their username in one of their posts and get to their user info. We have never completely removed any profiles. If they seem to be gone it is simply because you aren't looking for it the correct way. Not a flame here, just trying to explain.
