I have an 870 Express Super Mag that I use for waterfowl hunting and clays. This gun is about 8 years old. It has been excellent. I have used it for everything, even an oar and a push pole on occasion. But embarassingly I have been neglectful in its care. I believe the barrel is parkerized? Correct me if I'm mistaken. This gun gets run hard all through duck and goose season and every third or fourth trip I'll hose it with WD-40 and keep going. About once a year it gets a thorough cleaning. Needless to say it has a "few" blemishes on the barrel, rust spots come off but leave what appears to be bare metal. Any suggestions on a refinish? I'm wanting to do this myself and not spend big dollars for a camo dip job.

Duracote is some really good stuff, but you also might want to look at the Brownell's version too.
