I had to do a search to find out what this powder even is.
Not trying to be pedantic here, but don't just "try" a powder without actual data to go by.
I found out that it's an Alliant powder, and they conveniently have a link here with data for your two calibers, plus lots of others - Alliant Powder - Reloader's Guide

It's a fairly new powder, so I'd be pleased to see what you think of it. I cut my teeth on Hercules Powders (now Alliant). I've had good luck with them. From what I read, it is a little faster than Power Pistol and a little slower than Unique. Alliant touts it as having a low muzzle flash and more importantly, they claim that it measures accurately. It ought to be a very good powder for the calibers you want to load, just follow the published data.

I have seen a few pounds of this locally. I have used some Power Pistol in 9mm and Bullseye in 45 acp with good results. Looks like the BE-86 is similar to Power Pistol but "low flash". Only load data I have seen is on Alliants website. I am considering buying a pound to try but I have very little time to test loads. Seems like Alliant is labeling this as sort of a general purpose pistol powder.

My thoughts as well. It seems like they are saying, "If you liked Unique and Power Pistol, you'll just love BE-86!"

I wasn't aware of this powder. Thanks for the heads up as I just looked up the load data on the Alliant website and it looks to be a premium powder with a lot of versatility.
