I dont really have a favorite. As long as its blued, wood grips, and isnt flat. A case hardened trigger and hammer really help too.

I have a S&W 686+ 7-shot L-frame mountain gun. It carrys like a dream in the field and I can shoot it really well. S&W only made about 1500 of these and I cn't understand why. It carrys SO much better that the regular 686 with full underlug.

I bet I put better that 20,000 rounds through it. We use to be able to come in every day and shoot on the range ... free. Became pretty good at it. I had the trigger end hammer worked on. Still love it.
