Bill Maher and Nausea

I recently went to battle with the evil that is Comcast to negotiate something lower than a car payment for my cable and Internet service. Mission accomplished, however I ended up with a package that essentially gives me all the movie channels. Sounds great right? Except I can't help but stop on Bill Maher on HBO...and then I work hard not to blow beads. They rant about the "rights'" tone when this wacko spouts about the "Tea Baggers" being crazy and prejudice. I know, I know it's just some lefty paid program, but the rhetoric makes me so mad Okay - I'm done...I just needed to vent!

I put him in the same category as Rosie Odonnel, Oprah, and Micheal Moore. All are so starved for attention they will do ANYTHING to get it. I would drag my TV out to the curb for the trash before I would sit and watch anything with any of the above involved.

I feel the same way about the above persons along with Beck, Hannity, and Rush. They are just extremists at the other end of the spectrum. Beck needs a psych evaluation.

They are all zealots and don't warrant the attention of anyone. Right or Left.

I form my own opinions and don't need a talking head to tell me how I should feel.

The problem with reading the news is that it still biased. There are not any real journalists today that can tell the news without a slant. I had to do a research paper in undergrad; it required me to watch and read the news and find out what the real story was. Every single paper I read, channel that I watched all left something out to slant the story the way they wanted it. It took about 5 or 6 hours for me to find out what the real story was by trying to fit the facts together from sources all over the place. Not one told the complete truth.

For example, how many times have you heard that code pink is invovled with the Egyptian protests? I have not heard any of the newspapers or news stations talk about this. If you do not know who code pink is then look it up.

It's funny to me the "Beck needs a psych evaluation" he tells you not to believe anything he says...DO THE HOMEWORK FOR YOURSELF. it is pretty clear that he want's you to think for yourself,and not believe everything you hear...nevermind, just go along with your thought that everything is fine. Pretty much this. That movie was great. I definitely would not compare him to Rosie O'donell and absolutely not Michael Moore. He is capable of saying things that are actually valid unlike those characters. Politically incorrect was a great show. So he makes fun of the Tea Party......grow some skin. He makes fun of alot of people.....and most of them deserve it.

He is just another entertainer on TV. There are lots of people that I disagree with. I don't let them bother me or label them as Nazis simply because we have differing views.

The only person from all the ones listed above that I ever have opportunity to listen to is Glen Beck for about 10 minutes or so here and there. Very infrequently...but so far, what I HAVE heard is what was stated by Ol' Trucker. I've never heard Beck urging people to believe anything he says blindly. It's always, "Look it up! Don't take my word for it...find out for Yourself!"
Can't say that about the others from soundbites or clips that have appeared around the net or on other shows.
Seems to me, telling somebody to go do their own homework for info to form their own opinion is the least whacko-ish of all of them.

Im not a Beck hater, I actually watch from time to time. But he says that knowing full well that his listeners wont do the research. He is no different than anyone else in his field.
