Conservative commentator, former Marine Colonel Bob Pappas has been saying for years that bin Laden died at Tora Bora and that Senator Kerry's claim that bin Laden escaped with Bush help was a lie. Now we know that Pappas was correct. The embarassment of having Secretary of State Clinton talk about bin Laden in Pakistan was horrific. He has been dead since December 13, 2001 and now, finally, everyone, Obama, McChrystal, Cheney, everyone who isn't nuts is finally saying what they have known for years.

In 66 pages, General Stanley McChrystal never mentions Osama bin Laden. Everything is "Mullah Omar"now. In his talk at West Point, President Obama never mentioned Osama bin Laden. Col. Pappas makes it clear, Vice President Cheney let it "out of the bag" long ago. Bin Laden was killed by American troops many many years ago.

A lot of people tell me they're sure OBL is still alive. All I know for sure is that he's one helluva scapegoat either way!

He is NOT dead and even if he is PHYSICALLY dead his ideas live on via all this followers. Unlike prior "wars" where as if their great general died the troops would surrender that is not the case here. We (western thoughts vs what Al-Quedia believe in) come from 2 different worlds of thoughts. They will never be happy until every infield is killed (US, British, Mexican, Canadian, Russian, Chinese, etc..).

Yes but at least for the Christians ROME won't be asking for a crusade to the holly land and to kill the non-Christians. Well ROME could ask but I though that Christians would do it.

But can on topic there is no way for us to ever win this "war". You can not eradicate an "idea/belief" unless you do a complete wipe of the humans that believe in that idea which is impossible. We can try and kill them all (the current fighters) but alas the little kids that are being raised right now are being raised to hate the infields. So even if we kill the little kids as well (which we won't; no western country will) all we have done is postponed the next 9/11 or further attack on what we believe/have.

It falls under the same logic of trying to have peace on earth or ridding the world of evil. Those things CANNOT happen unless you remove mankind from the equation. As long as mankind is on earth there can never be peace since one man will always want what the other man has.

Religious "factions" have been fighting since history has been recorded this will be the same.
