Brand New Piece....USED

I just put a firearm on layaway at Cabela's Hammond. I am very pleased at the deal I got.

It is a Used gun. But it was practically new. I looked it over for a long while and I can say this gun was bought and put away. It came with all paperwork and cases and mags. The barrel was superb inside , grooves were excellent. It looked like a new gun.

It is a Stoeger Cougar 8000 9mm.

Total Price $252.00

I think I did good.

Sounds reasonable. Stoeger Cougars seem pretty decent from everything that I've heard.

You did really well, that's an excellent price for an often overlooked, solid pistol. I used to have one, but switched to all polymer framed pistols since I prefer striker fired guns. Still, it was fun to shoot and handled recoil very well. They are made in Turkey on Beretta machinery from what I understand. You could do a heck of a lot worse for what you paid! I'd be hard pressed to pass up one if I saw it in the gun case for that price, even though I don't need one.
