    both actually.

For the "horrible beating" incident. Brandon was the look out for his brother while he broke into another house...they both pled guilty the week or so before to the earlier burglaries, but since they were juveniles their sentence was nothing.

I'd say that is some pertinent information.

Do you have a link to that? That may stop some whining in a hurry.

There's only one thing that matters in this situation. It doesn't matter if Brandon was a good kid, or a thug. Doesn't matter what he was charged with. Doesn't matter that he was arrested later. It doesn't matter how big he is. It doesn't even matter if he resisted.

The only thing that matters is did the officer keep hitting him after he was subdued. That's the only relevant question.

And I believe the merit board, after hearing the evidence presented, ruled that no the officer did not hit him after he was subdued.

That is the only question. And since I was at the entire hearing, Heard testimony on both sides, where a ruling was given by several non leos I concur with their decision that there was absolutely NO police brutality and that officer Piland did nothing wrong. However there are those that saw a picture of Brandon on the news and formulated their own scenario accepting that rubbish as fact.

The boys just need a father-figure.

I wonder if rambone and lashicoN would be willing?

How about it guys? You up for a "hug a thug" day?

Hug a thug! :lmfao:Hell no, I don't want anything to do with this guy. I honestly don't give a rat's *** about him. Seriously, this is purely selfish motivation. I own a few shirts that say "Don't Tread on Me" and if cops are busting people for "gang shirts" and guns, then I'm screwed, because the left wing is already calling people who wear DTOM stuff or wave the flag around a right wing Christian Militia domestic terrorist. If the young man bit off more than he could chew and had a couple hard hits coming to him, that's one thing. If they busted his brother on a warrant and had a grudge against Brandon because of the events from last summer, so they arrested him for a "gang shirt" and firearm possession, then that is something else all together.

Ok you must have missed the fact that he pled guilty to 12 burglaries but was a suspect in many more. by your definition he is a thug. Again with the t-shirt thing. Keep in mind that the person giving all the information about the arrest is the guy's defense attorney.

I did miss that, and I would appreciate it greatly if you could provide me with some reading materials.

Reading the comments on stories in various regional newspapers, many commenters predicted that this kid would have more future negative interactions with the IMPD. One of the stories I read had a comment by the journalist that read in effect, "None of the officers involved in this arrest of Brandon were involved in the previous incident. The IMPD knew whose address it was before going in to serve the warrant, and the IMPD didn't want anyone with prior contact to be involved."

I don't know if that is truth or not. If it is, the IMPD was trying to maintain impartiality IMO.

now if we could just get her hoosier works card and hoosier health...must be nice to have free rent, free food, free clothes, and free health care. Maybe one day i can be a burden on society, collect a bunch of free money, and let my illegitimate kids deal drugs out of my house. Yay socialism.

The amount for rent amazes me. I remember when she was asking for help and a job. Where is Jesse now?

A job should be required to receive that amount of help/
And this is my biggest beef with "assistance".

If you're on it...you're going to do something to earn it. Be it picking up trash, washing windows or working in an office filing. Something...

Even if you're so handicapped a "normal" position would be impossible...there is something you can do to earn your keep.

    No "free" handouts...for anyone.

Holy crap! $1,000 a month just for rent???? That is just outrageous. That's not a hand up, that's a hand out.

$200/mo or even $400/mo would be helping someone make ends meet. $1,000 just enables someone to sit on their ass all day.
