Britta water filter bottle

Are they a good enough to be a primary tool? Or just an 'extra'? I read that the filter will last 150 bottles and they are 20oz. Bottles. Figured for 10 bucks I could grab one and some extra filters and be good... I'm assuming ill still need to boil my water to disinfect??

Is it worth the weight hanging off my pack?

I am pretty sure brita filters just remove solids and make the water taste better.

Get a Sawyer for $30. Awesome filter, no need to pretreat, and it will last you a lifetime with proper cleaning/backflowing

Agreed.The sawyer is the only water bottle I would ever trust my life with,and you can not beat them for around $30.00.
