Browning 22 Challenger

I have a Browning Challenger that I am trying to date. While it has a U in the serial number showing it is a Challenger, it is not lining up with what is on Browning's website. The U is at the end of the serial number followed by a 7 instead of at the beginning. A 6 is before the U. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to the Browning website. There's a page there which will allow you to determine the approximate year of maunfacture. Just click on name of the model you have and list will appear.
