I have a browning x bolt in 300wsm. Awesome gun except when the brass hits the scope and falls back in the magazine well. I have a nikon monarch on this gun. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what have you done to fix it?

That's what I'm trying to do to fix it. I already have talley high mounts on it, but I think I'm going to put a rail on it to get it higher yet, as the Talley mounts are far from being "high". The 50mm scope is maybe 1/8 inch off the barrel.

Generally it's an easy job but I don't have an X bolt to hold in my hand to see if they did anything weird for the pin holding in the ejector.

Another thing to remember is generally they're under a good amount of pressure.

Depends on your comfort level IMO
